Abstract :
Although radio regulation for ultra wide-band (UWB) communications have been approved in ITU-R TG1/8 as well as regional regulator such as FCC, CEPT, MIC and so on, now UWB radars are a quite hot subject in a sense of updating new radio regulation as well as commercial products in automobile and communication companies. This lecture can provide a latest update of radio regulation for UWB radar in quasi-millimeter (24-29 GHz) and millimeter (79 GHz) bands in MIC of Japan and CEPT of Europe as well as several industrial activities such as SARA and AUTOSAR. UWB is a most promised technology for both communications and raging in highly reliable systems such as ITS and medical healthcare.
