Abstract :
The modifications to the authors´ polarisation and thermally stimulated discharge current (TSDC) simulations successfully produce TSDC spectra with two distinct peaks. The interactions between two charged species with differing mobilities are complex. However it is still possible to derive activation energies with reasonable accuracy using either an Arrhenius plot of the initial current rise or by examining the shift in peak position with differing temperature ramp-rates. Altering the form of the charge distribution in the region close to the electrodes seems however to have a significant effect on the activation energy derived using an Arrhenius plot indicating a field or concentration gradient driven effect
