  • Abstract
Negative ions are collected on the axis of a discharge tube in the active phase of the discharge. They drift to the tube peripheria after electron recombinations in the discharge afterglow. A period of time of electron outgoing is defined by a diffusion of positive ions. The period could be shorted by adding negative ions. The ionic concentration can be measured with probe methods. Such ionic sources have different applications.
