Abstract :
This work presents the main aspects and criteria adopted by the Brazilian ISO for power system restoration due to total or partial collapses. Guidelines to avoid or minimize the occurrence of drawbacks during the restoring process are also outlined. It also presents a summary of the recommendations, and procedures including possible alternatives in case of a blackout in the Rio de Janeiro Area.
