Abstract
Different average diameter matrix powders are used in the preparation of the scandate dispenser cathode. Based on a series of techniques such as pressing, sintering and impregnating, the scandate dispenser cathode samples are gained. The results show that: the cathodes made of the different average diameter powders which D(5,0) are 0.45μm, 1.3μm, 2.2μm exhibit excellent performance. The pulse emission current density of the scandate dispenser cathodes can reach 100.8A/cm2(1050 C), 122.46 A/cm2 (1050 C), 114.87 A/cm2(1000).
