Abstract :
The method of the emission current calculating from the known parameters of the field emission structures, such as: electron work function, electric field intensity and cathode temperature is developed. The problem is solved on the basis of quantum-mechanical consideration of field emission process and the numerical method for solving the Schrödinger equation for an electron in a potential well. The solutions algorithm tested in MATHCAD and program is implemented on FORTRAN.
