Abstract :
3D electrodynamic computation of serpentine folded waveguide slow-wave circuit for 5 kilowatt Ka-band TWT was carried out. It is shown that the interaction of EM-waves with the electron beam is more effectively in the cavity band than in the slot band. It is shown also that TWT´s of this type are highly competitive with existing analogs on the coupled cavities chains, but their production can be much easier.
