Abstract :
Summary form only given. The operational life of high power gyrotrons is adversely affected by peaks of heat dissipation density which exceed the capability of the cooling system. Such peaks cause adsorbed gases or vapors to be released, disrupting the operation of the gyrotron, and reducing its operational life.
