Title :
A low current high performance LNA for global positioning receiver applications
Author_Institution :
Motorola Inc., Tempe, AZ, USA
Abstract :
A low noise amplifier for Global Positioning System (GPS) applications has been designed and tested with good results. The amplifier can operate from 2-5 V with 1.0 dB NF and 18.4 dB of gain at 5 V and 6.5 mA. The device is packaged in a low cost 8 lead SOIC and features a DC coupled RF output for remote antenna applications.
