Abstract :
In view of improving performance of high frequency machine, a Multi-section Claw Pole Machine (MCPM) based on soft magnetic composite material with outer PM rotors was proposed. The structure characteristics and operating principal of MCPM were introduced. Then the calculation method of core loss based on separating iron loss modeland cogging torque based on virtual placement method was presented. Finally, one prototype of 1.5 kW 12-poles MCPM was developed, and the experiments as motor and generator were carried out. The correctness and feasibility of theory analysis method is verified.
