Abstract
Zero-torque control of switched reluctance motor drive system with on-board charger is presented in this paper. A novel SRM converter topology which integrated driving and regenerating and charging function is proposed. It has three modes, driving mode, regenerating mode and charging mode. In the driving and regenerating mode, the proposed SRM converter operates as an asymmetric converter. In the charging mode, all the phase winding used as inductances, the converter operates as buck-boost converter to satisfy the charging characteristic and power quality requirement. A zero-torque control method is proposed for battery charging. In this method, the rotor can keep in still, and improved the efficiency. Due to the sine-wave current flows in the phase winding, the magnetic field and torque is analyzed by FEM. Some simulation results are done to verify the performance of proposed converter.
