  • Abstract
This paper introduces a application of PLC in the electrical control system in a headstock gear based on PLC for water conservancy. It mainly discuses the hydraulic pressure system and the constitution of electrical control system. And then it describes how to design software and hardware. Two special function modules are introduced: A CIMS control piston travel and a pressure sensor is used to measuring water level and hydraulic pressure. Analogue signals that be collected by external logical circuit and A/D conversion module (FX-4AD) was received by PLC. They are processed by CPU and transferred by D/A (FX-2DA) into analogue signals. Then they control actuating mechanism. The results prove that the PLC control system is running stability and effective.
