Abstract :
This paper briefly reviews current research on the use of correlation filters for the processing of aircraft radar signatures. A fast iterative algorithm is discussed, which is used to align and average several signatures so as to filter out the problem of specular glint-a phenomenon caused by the use of coherent illumination, as well as the generally anisotropic nature of the targets´ scattering features
