Abstract :
For the problem of analytical method has lower precision while numerical method consuming much time in calculating Line-start Solid Rotor Permanent Magnet Motor, this paper analysis and compares the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, using field and analytical collaboration method for analyzing a prototype. It calculates the no-load air-gap flux density, back-EMF, and full-load starting performance with different air-gap length and permanent magnet thickness. A multifunction test platform is also involved to test the prototype. Through a comparative study, a structure is found out which meets the performance needs and is able to save permanent magnet, demonstrating the structure is reasonable. The study can provide an important reference for the optimal design of PMSM.
