Abstract :
A square patch antenna fed by a rectangular loop is presented. Measured results show that it behaves as a miniature patch antenna with off-broadside radiation patterns. The antenna has an impedance bandwidth (SWR ⩽ 2) and maximum gain of 15.7% and 3.75 dBi respectively. The cross-polarization level is lower than 12 dB in both y-z and x-z planes
