Abstract
This paper presents the numerical analysis of a vector controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) by using circuit-coupled two-dimensional finite element method. The goal of the research was to estimate the performance of a vector controlled PMSM. In order to analyze the machines under rotating magnetic fields, the voltage source, symmetric boundary and slide boundary are considered. And the main machine parameters of several controlled modals are discussed. The results show a good compliance with measured in the laboratory.
