Abstract :
A novel wideband polarization diversity antenna without parasitic elements is proposed. The diversity antenna is simply composed of a balanced, printed dipole and a modified tapered slot antenna. The antenna is numerically and experimentally studied for its performance. As will be reported, the diversity antenna´s operation bandwidth is from 5.04-11.85 GHz, in which the average isolation between the elements is improved to higher than 30 dB.
