            Abstract : 
In this paper, a improved guided wave structure called image transition used in the design of half mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) power splitter is proposed. The design principle is introduced and three types of HMSIW T-junction are designed and measured with further application in the design of power splitter.
