Abstract :
Wireless channel in metal environment is widely used in industrial, scientific and real life application, such as workshop, automobile, satellite, airplane, computer chassis and so on. It is quite different from that in traditional environment because of its strong reflection and weak absorbing. In this paper, we present a measurement of UWB-based channel in a computer chassis by sweeping in the frequency range of 3.0GHz to 5.0GHz. All channel model parameters including path loss model, RMS delay spread, and several small-scale parameters generated from Saleh-Valenzuela model are derived from actual measured data. Moreover, results of channel transfer function are also analyzed, and to be used in system designing.
