Abstract :
L band microwave can penetrate the soil and its bright temperature data contains the soil temperature information of different layers within the penetration depth. L band effective soil temperature and infrared soil temperature have different physical significance and value. The SHAW model is validated by using the observed data of automatic weather station in Huailai and is used to simulate the soil temperature and humidity profile data with the meteorological observation data of Huailai experimental area in 2006 to 2009 years. The L band effective soil temperature is computed using the soil temperature and humidity profile data in hour interval. The analysis of the difference between infrared soil temperature and L band effective soil temperature is launched initially. It is a base of further exploring the relationship between infrared soil temperature and L band effective soil temperature and also a support for cooperative inversion combining infrared and passive microwave.
