Abstract :
A novel indirect matrix converter with five-leg inverter stage for multi-drive system is proposed. This converter can be used to feed two motors with independent control for each motor. Compared with conventional multi-output indirect matrix converter, the proposed converter has lower cost and higher efficiency. Simulation results verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed converter, which shows decoupled operation of two inverter circuits and good input/output performances.
