Abstract :
Phase information (PI) is important. Complex wavelet transform (CoWT)-based PI extraction methods are popular. Real discrete wavelet transform (RDWT) is simple, fast and non-redundant, but it is usually regarded to be lack of PI. This paper presented three RDWT-based PI extraction methods and proved these methods are equal to CoWT-based ones. Demonstration examples are given.
