Abstract :
This paper introduces a new technology for electric locomotive passing neutral section, which uses power electronic switch. The electrical character of the system is analyzed, and it proves that the dead time is limited in 30ms. Train could run through the neutral section with load. No over-voltages in the system because the switching angle is controllable. Simulation and prototyping system are implemented.
