Abstract :
This paper describes the new PTB three-phase alternating (ac) power sampling standard. Based on two cascaded direct-digital-synthesizers, it allows calibrations with high frequency-resolution. The system is intended to reduce measurement uncertainties of three-phase power meter calibrations to less than 10 muW/VA and to alleviate staff´s daily burden of calibration routine.
