Abstract :
The ERIEYE antenna is described from a systems view. The choice of frequency and polarisation are shown and some of the advantages of using a phased array are explained. It gives a longer track initiation range, better track continuity and better reliability. In this application we also have the advantage of less drag on the aircraft, thereby making it possible to use rather small aircraft
