Abstract
Today people need to control many disparate devices. The frustration of learning many different device interfaces has also become a substantial challenge. Even learning to master a universal remote for a specific device is troublesome. Individually programming universal remote interfaces for all of these devices is also very costly. This paper presents a generator to create common interfaces for a universal remote to control numerous devices with a single controller. A full implementation not only saves money, but also saves the time needed to learn how to use different controllers.
