Abstract
A new cross-layer adaptive resource allocation scheme for real-time services is proposed in this paper. Not only the characters such as the random service arrival, limited buffers and QoS requirements are considered at MAC layer, but also the time-varying wireless channel effect. By adaptive processing procedures, it can improve end-to-end system performance effectively. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the system throughput, spectrum efficiency as well as user satisfying level
