Abstract :
To research the loss-excitation failure of 1000 MW hydro generator, this paper presents the field-circuit coupled time-stepping finite-element model of huge hydro-generator based on the unit-machine. The model is verified by comparing with the simulation results of the Park equation model and gets some benefit conclusions.
