Abstract :
This paper presents a high-efficiency, microcontroller-based, step-up push-pull DC-DC converter for photovoltaic inverter. A simple, effective algorithm suitable to be implemented in a single 8051 microcontroller has been developed in order to control the power stage of the converter. The high-frequency planar transformer has been used to raise the input voltage to the level required by the inverter and to provide isolation. Power stages are driven by a single, high-speed 8051 microcontroller. The proposed converter has been successfully developed and is capable of generating 400 VDC output voltages for photovoltaic inverter.
