  • Abstract
    Since power analysis on smart cards was introduced by Paul Kocher, many countermeasures have been proposed to protect implementations of cryptographic algorithms. In this paper many countermeasures are being discussed, point out unique masking method can not protect from higher-order differential power analysis. We proposed a new protection method. It uses coupled circuit structure for a DES circuit. The theory of UMM and experiments shows its efficiency.
