Abstract :
The pitch regulated variable-speed wind turbines operate at rated power output point by adjusting pitch angle as the wind speed is over rated value. In this case the pitch angle controller may play important roles on keeping normal operation and minimizing fatigue load for wind turbine. This paper proposes a new optimal control strategy with multiple objectives where maximum power and minimizing load on mechanical parts are aimed. The simulation model is constructed by using MATLAB/SIMULINK tool and the simulation is carried out. The correctness and effectiveness of this optimal control strategy is verified by simulation results.
