Abstract :
An atmospheric neon plasma jet modulated by pulse waveform generator is presented in this paper. We found that Ne(585nm) emission is more concentrated to the center area of the plasma channel compared to Ne(640nm) emission. The experimental results showed that the relative intensity of different types of emissions change with the applied voltages and the positions. The duty ratio and the frequency of the modulated pulse waveform can also influence the plasma plume´s intensity same as voltage. Compared to the applied voltage and modulated frequency, duty ratio of the modulated pulse waveform is a good control parameter which can control the emission intensity linearly without any length and shape change.
