Abstract
The problem of voltage instability is considered a critical issue all over the world. A precise voltage collapse allocations and fast voltage stability analysis are a challenge. Although several methods conducing voltage stability analysis; accurate voltage collapse predications and rapid voltage stability analysis providing computation time reduction are needed to successfully prevent voltage collapses and blackouts. This paper presents a competent and efficient method for use on-line voltage collapse predications, theoretically proven for finding voltage collapse point precisely and determining voltage stability accurately. The proposed method is accurate, fast and simple indicating how far the power system is from collapse point and how far the bus is from its severely loading condition or outage. The proposed method was demonstrated on the IEEE 57-bus system and compared with previous methods to demonstrate its effectiveness and efficiency.
