Abstract :
A Compact Coplanar Waveguide (CPW)-fed slot antenna with polygon shaped tuning stub is presented for UWB applications. The proposed antenna is composed of CPW feed, rectangular slot, polygon shaped tuning stub. It is printed on inexpensive FR4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.4. It has compact size of 28×25×1.6 mm3.It has good impedance matching over the bandwidth of 3.0 - 10.6 GHz. Various features such as compactness, simple geometry and low cost makes the antenna suitable for recent wireless communication systems.
