Abstract :
A novel dual ultra-wideband (UWB) microstrip slot antenna is proposed in this paper. Its dual-band response is realized by subtracting a T-shaped slot and two rectangles at two corners and two triangles at the other two corners on the radiation patch. The two bands are operating at 2.45 and 5.2 GHz, respectively, which can be used for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and WiMAX applications. The bandwidth with VSWR less than 2 at first band is 27.16% (2.1-2.76 GHz); at second band is 20.8% (4.77-5.87 GHz). The whole dimension of proposed slot antenna is 58 mm × 58 mm. Good agreement with responses of electromagnetic (EM) simulation and measurement is obtained.
