Abstract :
Wireless modeling is a critical part of the wireless network research. Predictions of ionospheric propagation are typically very costly in both time and memory. A fast 11F link quality simulation algorithm is proposed based on a combination of the measured data and classic MUF-LIF prediction algorithm in HF networks and a novel radio node is designed in OPNET to simulate the physical layer of a HF bank/ship network using the proposed algorithm. The designed radio node can entirely perform the functions of OPNET Radio Transceiver Pipeline. By comparing the channel occupation rate, it is possible to select the most efficient and suitable HF networking scheme.
