Abstract
The authors describe managerial processes and tools for managing the software factory that are largely independent of the specific software possible with any given development methodology. The management processes and tools can be applied to any modern development methodology with more or less uniform success as they are distinctly separable from the development methodology. The methodologies and tools are described in some detail. The experiences in applying the methodologies and tools to the management of a small software factory engaged in a number of projects are presented in the area of data communications software development
