Abstract :
A study to determine the potential for incorporating RAM improvements on an existing peaking gas turbine power plant is discussed. An appropriate RAM database was developed from the plant records and a RAM parameter applicable to peaking units (energy shortfall) was derived. These two developments permitted the determination and ranking by component of the cost and causes of power shortfall due to RAM performance deficiencies. Results of the study are presented.<>
