  • Abstract
Based on wavelet techniques, the time-scale representations of evoked complex spike potentials (CSP) induced by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in rodent auditory cortex were studied. The wavelet transform expanded CSP into a time-scale representation, which allowed the analyst to zoom in on the small scale, fine structure details of CSP or zoom out to examine the large scale, global wave shape. That provided the information about both the time and frequency characteristics of CSP. Wavelet analyses of CSP would potentially suggest the physiological processes undergoing in the brain.
