Abstract :
Coal mine underground work is a high risk of work. To guarantee the safety of miners´ life and the positioning of a miner´s location exactly on real time are important tasks. ZigBee technique, for its low power consumption, low cost and convenience, is proper to be used in the positioning system for underground coal mine [1]. In this paper, a new positioning algorithm for coal mine underground based on ZigBee technology is proposed, in which NNSS (Nearest Neighboring signal strength) is adopted for preliminary location, and then DTM (dynamic triangular measurement) locating method is employed for precise ranging and position. The system with the algorithm for coal mine enterprises provides personnel tracking, monitoring and other functions [2]. When an accident happens, the system can determine positions of miners and numbers of miners in time, to ensure emergent rescues and guarantee the life safety with high efficiency.
