Abstract :
A compact ultra-wide band (UWB) printed antenna is proposed for UWB communication. The simulated return loss is less than -10 dB from 2.45 to 10.3 GHz. The antenna consisted by a square patch and a trident-shaped feeding line. By adding of a bevel on both sides of the feeding line, the bandwidth improved greatly. Furthermore, the antenna exhibits a good cross-polarization by the addition of the bevel. Details of the experimental and simulation results for the proposed planar monopole antenna are presented and analyzed.
