Abstract
The LHC accelerator project will require an accuracy of 10/sup -6/ in the control of current to the superconducting magnets. A new infrastructure for high current calibration is being created, based on DC current reference standards. This paper describes the design of a device generating an output current from 0 to /spl plusmn/10 A with the required accuracy.
