  • Abstract
We conducted temperature measurements on the feeder cables of a substation for power distribution by using a distributed optical fiber sensor. As a result we confirmed that the hot point of a conduit with multiple lines installed can be determined with ease. Moreover, our calculations resulted in a maximum conductor temperature of 70°C, which confirms that there still remains a tolerance of approximately 20°C. Hereinafter, we will continue with our study in pursuit of a method that would allow to compute allowable currents by using the sensor mentioned above
