Abstract :
In satellite-to-ground optical communication, the effect of atmosphere turbulence to communication system is a very important problem. The effect of laser beam propagating in the turbulent atmosphere and the performance of communication system are analyzed in this paper. Adaptive optics (AO) technique can be used to solve this problem of turbulent atmosphere. There are emphasis research on the effect of communication link error rate on different turbulence and improvement of performance when using AO technique; the simulation results are presented in paper. AO technique plays an important role in satellite-to-ground laser communication.
