Abstract
For the time-domain integral equation (TDIE) solution, the Marching-on-in time (MOT) algorithm is often employed to calculate the electromagnetic scattering. However, the main drawback of this MOT algorithm is the late-time instability. A method using Laguerre polynomials to obtain stable responses with the electric-field integral equation (EFIE) is presented. In this paper, Hermite Polynomials is used as the temporal basis functions. Numerical results involving currents and coefficients of each order computed by MOO and this method are presented and compared.
