Abstract
This article discusses the near field properties of the horizontal dipole radiation in the presence of a lossless metamaterial sphere. Based on the approach of Greens function, under different geometrical and electromagnetic parameters, the near field properties are investigated. It could be seen that in the metamaterial sphere, the focusing" phenomenon is observed. It is in consistent with the analysis. Throughout the article, the conventional sphere is utilized as reference. In the conventional material sphere, there are not focuses at all.
