Abstract
This paper presents a ZVT boost converter using an auxiliary resonant circuit. The main switch of the converter can be completely tuned on with zero voltage switching (ZVS) while the auxiliary switch is turned on and off with zero current switching (ZCS). The proposed circuit is analyzed, simulated, designed, and implemented. Both simulated and experimental results show that the soft switch functions are achieved and the maximum efficiency of the converter is approximately 91.5%.
