Abstract :
Acquisition of Radial Artery Pulse is important one to enquire the human body status and condition. In this paper, we provide a system to acquire Radial Artery Pulses as in time series. These pulses are sensed by fingertip traditionally and the sensor is placed on the wrist which is strain gauge based differential mode pressure sensor (model: sm5852). The pressure exerted by Radial Artery which is minute pressure experienced by sensor converted into electrical signal which is then acquired by NI-LabVIEW 16 bit Data Acquisition card 9205 at a sampling rate of 500Hz, DAQ card having an interface with personal computer. The collected Radial Artery Pulse data are analyzed on the basis of relative amplitude of two pulses by use of NI LabVIEW software. Our application shows a probable pulse variation waveform of many subjects.
