Abstract
The independent innovation capability is the key factor that affects the sustainable development of automobile industry. By analyzing the concept of independent innovation capability and considering the traits of automobile industry, an indicator system of independent innovation capability for automobile industry is constructed on the basis of extensive investigation. While the qualitative and quantitative attributes, as well as the incomplete information exist in the evaluation process, we propose a comprehensive evaluation model based on evidential reasoning which is derived from the D-S evidence theory. Finally, the independent innovation capability of automobile industry of Anhui Province is evaluated and analysed by using the fore mentioned model, which provides a decision-making basis for promoting the independent innovation capability of Anhui automobile industry.
