Abstract
This paper describes a framework that is being used to fulfil one of the main objectives of the ESPRIT project ELEKTRA: the discovery of the generalised patterns of change management for re-using them in similar settings in other electric supply companies. The term `pattern´ refers to such knowledge that may be repeatable from one situation to another, and shareable by many different users. This paper defines a framework for representing and using knowledge about the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) sector. In the context of the ELEKTRA project, the patterns will be specific to the ESI sector and will not be applicable to any other sector. However, the framework proposed in this paper, for organising these patterns, is independent of any application and could potentially be used in many other domains
